About Me

Hello and welcome to Brushway Hair Designs!

I’m Terrie Pyles, owner and stylist.  As a lifelong resident of Frederick County, I’ve been sharing my training and styling expertise for the past 35 years.

Brushway specializes in long hair care, as well as sophisticated styles for weddings and formal events.  I’ve helped many brides and bridal parties with their hair on their special day, and when homecoming and prom night arrives, you can be sure that no two girls will look alike when leaving my salon.  And if you’re not sure what style suits you best – no worries, we’ll work together to create a look especially for you! I do razor cuts, short styles, and men’s styles, so no matter what you’re looking for, we’re sure to exceed your expectations.

Brushway also specializes in coloring using unique techniques created and offered only by my salon.  My clients often get stopped and asked where they got their hair done, and are proud to give out my name and number. If you’ve had a bad experience with a style or color, I can also help with corrective hair solutions.

Over the years, I have won many awards including first place in the Maryland SkillsUSA for hair styling, first place in the International Salon of the Year, and Outstanding Alumna for Cosmetology.  I’ve also taught and mentored cosmetology students at the Career and Technology Center, and guided apprenticing students at Brushway.

Perhaps what I love most about my career as a hair stylist and salon owner is making others feel good about themselves- a good hair cut, style, and color can do that!  At Brushway, you’ll receive top quality service at affordable prices. Haircuts are free with any chemical service, and there is never any extra charge for blow drying, curling, or straightening.  Brushway Hair Designs is handicap accessible and as always, parking is free.

As I see it, when you leave Brushway, your hair has my personal signature.  I always tell my clients “If you look good, I look good!”

I look forward to becoming your hair stylist.  Give me a call to set up your next hair appointment!

Terrie Pyles
